PDF to Anki converter

Turn a PDF of lecture slides, a textbook chapter or your own notes into an Anki .apkg deck — free, unlimited and without an account. The PDF is read entirely on your device: the text is extracted in your browser, your own Claude writes clean question/answer and cloze cards, and the .apkg file is built locally. Nothing is ever uploaded, so it works for exam material you cannot share.

Example text extracted from a PDF

Chapter 4 — Cell Biology
The cell membrane is a phospholipid bilayer that regulates transport. Passive transport requires no energy, while active transport uses ATP. The sodium-potassium pump moves 3 Na+ out and 2 K+ in per cycle, maintaining the resting membrane potential.

Upload your PDF and get Anki-ready cards in your browser — no signup, no card limit.

Frequently asked questions

Does my PDF get uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is parsed on your device with an in-browser PDF reader and the .apkg file is assembled locally. Nothing is sent to a server, which makes it safe for confidential or copyrighted study material.
Will the cards import into Anki?
Yes. You download a standard .apkg package that opens in Anki Desktop and AnkiMobile. Cloze deletions use Anki’s native {{c1::…}} syntax, so nothing is lost on import.
Is there a limit on how many cards I can make?
No monthly cap. Because the cards are generated with your own Claude rather than our servers, there is no per-generation cost and no paywall on volume.
